HYPOCRISY...

HYPOCRISY...

This will begin my week long series on hypocrisy in sports. I love sports. There are very few things that I find more enjoyment in than sports. A good sporting event will give you everything you want from an activity: build up, good times with your friends, excitment, joy, disappointment all wrapped up into one.

However, sports also shows us some of the greatest examples in HYPOCRISY in all of the world. As much as I realize that sports is it's own world, I realize there are some things that must change. From the NCAA and thier dumb rules to the way atheltes believe they are above the law and often times find this to be true.

This next week, you will get some of the biggest examples of HYPOCRISY in sports.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Until Next Time...

  1. I don't know enough about sports to get most of what you write about but I've always wondered why athletes are able to do whatever they want and get out of it. It was the same way in high school. Some things never change. I do think that you are very knowledgeable of the topics you write about and wanted to encourage you to continue with your posts. :)

  2. Athletes are not the only people in the world that think they are above the law alot of your average people do too. People break the law everday and think there is nothing wrong with it until they get caught. So why just pick on athletes and YOU want people to apologize to Vick when you are talking about athletes breaking the law when everyone does it including YOURSELF. Haven't seen a good article on this entire blog since you started it.

  3. Mom of 5...Thank you for the encouragement, who knew the timing would turn out to be so perfect. I realize that unless you are a sports fan, most of what I write about is not going to interest you. I do appresciate you taking the time to read. Thanks for the encouragement.

  4. Welcome back Mr. Anonymous. I must admit that I am a little surprised to see you post anything else. However, much like last time, your post is complete nonsense. Yes, I realize regular people break laws, but this is a blog DEDICATED TO SPORTS (you might want to try to actually post a sports related response sometime, they are fun). That is why "i pick on athletes." My first example of hypocrisy is going to be Damon Evans and his legal trouble at UGA. The athletes who have been "picked on" concerning legal trouble is Ben Rothlisburger (please try to tell me where I am wrong on that post...I'M BEGGING YOU!!!). Thats the only legal view where I have written about a guys situation negatively. Yes, you have me, i break laws, i speed, i dont wear my seatbelt, but if you can honestly compare that with sexual assault and dui then you are a much better debater than I am. As for Vick, I was defending him bc at the time of the posting he was not a person of interest and people were treating him like he did something wrong. Maybe you should try making a point with your posts. Please feel free to respond, even though I'm already aware you won't.
